what would make baseball better

A couple days ago I was in the kitchen making dinner, very grateful to my son for entertaining my daughters.  They were all playing stuffed animal baseball.  Basically, Zo’s puma turned into a ball, I’m not sure what they used for a bat, and they had made the living room a baseball diamond.  I was enjoying listening to Kas explain the rules to  the girls and all of them being so excited for Zo when she hit the “ball”.  This went on for about 15-20 minutes when I heard Kas say, “Wait, timeout”.  Addie asked why they needed to stop and Kas told her that there was a good song on and they all needed to go to the other room.  Stephen was listening to Blur and that apparently superceded baseball for the minute.  So they all went in the other room to dance.

My first thought was, would that make baseball even more fun, if all of the sudden the pitcher said, “Timeout, there’s a good song on.”  Then the whole stadium had a great big dance party.

School starts tomorrow! I am definitely ready for some routine and a steady bedtime around here. We just had FHE and now Kas is reading his sisters a bedtime story. I love that. For FHE tonight we made some goals, family and individual goals. One of Kas’ was to finish speech this year. To accomplish…

Alisa tagged me back in December to do this and, as you all could tell, I haven’t been very good at blogging lately.  Since I am trying to get better at it I decided I better follow through as a good friend should.  (Yes that was for all those whom I might tag, because I…

There are so many things I need to blog about but this one won out in the end.  Maybe I’ll get to the rest, but no one hold their breath. Yesterday Stephen got to play Santa at our wards primary party.  He was actually pretty excited about doing this.  I wish I had been there…

  1. Hi, guys! Just thought we’d ccheck in and see how you are doing! Just moved back from Dallas and yes, I’m all for whatever it takes to make baseball more entertaining. 🙂

  2. I’m all for it. Dance parties rule.
By the way, every player has their own song not just the pitcher.

  3. I had no idea that the pitchers each had their own song. How funny that I never caught on to that.

Also, I just noticed that the Blur song on our play list is the one Kas ran in the other room for. You must click play.

  4. would definitely make baseball more fun! That is why when a pitcher goes up to bat (in the majors) they each have a song that they walk up to bat to. The whole stadium doesn’t dance unfortunately though.
