Utah: Week 3

Still going along in Utah. We have been able to get through three weeks and hopefully soon the weather lets up. It has been hot here, and from what I gather, this has been a heat wave. But I really want it to end soon. Elise says it will be through August we will have this. Either way, I am here now, so it is time to buck up and just get through it.

Popito (my Dad) and Debbie came for a visit this week. They have been traveling around to see the different things. Elise went with them down to Manti, UT. I also had to take them on the Route 92 Scenic Death Drive. My dad was kind of scared. I started to point out all the things on the side of the road and showed him the edge of the mountain/road. He did not like that too much. We ended up in Sundance and it was nice. The restaurant there was nothing special. It was good food, but expensive, which we were kind of expecting. We also were going to go on the chair lift. The entire ride, if you ride it up and back, is 45 minutes in length. Alot of people get out at the top and mountain bike or hike down. My Dad did not want to even go on the ride. So we did not, but that would have been fun.

Zo was really ill last week and finally got better. However, since she likes sharing things, Netter got it this weekend. So I was home with her helping her out. I realized this weekend I need to do more active things and get going more. I feel very burnt out at times, and very lifeless others. It is almost kind of scarey how much I just break down once I get home. And then I can not sleep, so I need to do something different. Maybe this week I will do something more. Even taking a walk every night, or start running.

Anyway, here are this week’s pictures.

This past week was one of adventure! Well sort of. The kids started school in Utah for the first week, and Kas did not want his picture taken. He was very adamant about just getting to school. Zo and Netter however were a little different, they wanted a ton of pictures. So Elise grabbed a…

October cold breezes bring good things, I think. The kids are dealing with their first real cold spell and were fascinated by the ice on the grass. Just wait kids. Especially when it snows and mean old daddy makes you shovel the driveway and the sidewalk. Then I am not so sure they will be…

Merry Christmas everyone! This past week was amazing and we had a lot of fun. There are a lot of pictures this week, so I will not write too much for the post. But to cover some highlights: Elise took the kids snow skiing this past week. Kas and Netter loved it, Zo was hesitant…

  • Utah: Week 15

The previous week brought a lot of fun and exciting times to us. However, we did have to say goodbye to Brecken and Tom, as they left to go back to AZ. So that made the kids sad, but then we had a fun and exciting time here as the week progressed. First off was…

  1. Sounds like you guys are having fun traveling around Utah and are really enjoying the new house. Just wait out the heat and then there will be some fun snow to play in. I’m about to start running again, now that I’m all back to normal after having Olive. You can start running “with” me. I’m excited to run again, but I know it’s going to be hard work. Oh well.

  2. Week 3, great job. At least you know your heat wave still isn’t as bad as here. But I’m sure it still sucks!! I feel you on the exhausted thing. As soon as I get home from work I’m just done. My ass hits the couch and that’s it. Good luck with your exercise. I know what I NEED to do, but the doing is the most difficult.
