I just wanted to post a few pictures of all the fun we are having in California. This is the kids all the way up.

A couple days ago I was in the kitchen making dinner, very grateful to my son for entertaining my daughters. They were all playing stuffed animal baseball. Basically, Zo’s puma turned into a ball, I’m not sure what they used for a bat, and they had made the living room a baseball diamond. I was enjoying listening to Kas explain the rules to the girls and all of them being so excited for Zo when she hit the “ball”. This went on for about 15-20 minutes when I heard Kas say, “Wait, timeout”. Addie asked why they needed to stop and Kas told her that there was a good song on and they all needed to go to the other room. Stephen was listening to Blur and that apparently superceded baseball for the minute. So they all went in the other room to dance.
My first thought was, would that make baseball even more fun, if all of the sudden the pitcher said, “Timeout, there’s a good song on.” Then the whole stadium had a great big dance party.

I have been meaning to post so many things lately. Everywhere I go I have a camera with me and I take some pictures just because I want to blog about them. Then I get home and start looking at everyone elses blogs and find I have used up all my time and it is time to make dinner and run to soccer practise.
So, now here we go. It is Sunday morning. I just sent my son to shower and I have about half hour before Zo gets up to get her ready. Adds will be staying home today with a horrible fever that took Zo out of commission on Thursday. Read the rest of this entry »
Updates to the site

I put a music player on the site. I just have to now figure out how I want to really incorporate this in the theme. And it only allows MP3 files, so anything I download from iTunes (which is evilly put in a m4p format) I can not put in there. But if you know of any good converters, I will convert those.
I am also going to be giving the kids their own little “sub domain” so when they post, they will have their own little sandbox area that they can play around with. So when they post, you will only see it if you go to their site. You can click on their links on the sidebar menu.
I am also trying to get another site up and running for a simple calendar. This idea came from Marc Coria. I thought, hey I can create that real quick, and get it posted up here soon. I am hoping to do that this weekend, as well. I will post the link when it is there. Not anything major, but just more coding to do and hopefully learn more.
If there are any other updates you guys want to see, let me know.

I’ve been paying SSBB alot, so I just want to tell you what I’ve accomplished. Here is my list of what I’ve done.
1. I’ve got all the characters and stages
2. I’ve also cleared the subspace emissary
3. I’ve made about 7 custom stages
4. I think I’ve mastered sonic
5. I also think I’ve mastered Olimar
6. I have mastered Toon Link
7. I’ve been rocking on coin launcher
8. I’ve got all the masterpieces
9. I think I’ve gotten 3 golden hammers for challenges
10. I’ve gotten all target smashes
I told you so. I’ve done even more, but I don’t have time to tell you. Bye.

12 years ago yesterday I saw the world upside down. The lights from Phoenix were so bright that they drown out all the stars in the sky. As my plane flew into Sky Harbor Airport it literally looked like the world had been turned upside down. It seemed like a nice metaphor for me coming home from my mission and everything that I had known for the last year and a half had changed. Read the rest of this entry »
