The kids’ school is doing an amazing fund raiser. I usually hate these things but this one I thought was worth my while. Plus half the money we collect goes straight to the Art Masterpiece program. The new Fitness Works on Queen Creek and Gilbert is offering a 3 month membership for $20. I thought it was an awesome deal. I am so excited to do this, so if anyone wants to go work out w/ me in air conditioning this summer drop me a line.

So, I thought it was about time that I start posting again. There has been too much in the last month or so for me to think clearly enough to share with other people how I’ve been feeling. The site has been updated to WordPress 2.5.1. There is one noticeable upgrade done to the site, and that is that it uses Gravatar. Gravatars are universal avatars that can be used on many sites, blogs, etc. You can get a new Gravatar at http://en.gravatar.com/ all you need is your email address. Since this is a family site, only G rated gravatars will be allowed. Once you upload a pic, you need to do nothing for this site. Anytime you post a comment, it will automatically add the gravatar based on the email address you enter.
Please let me know if there are any bugs that you find in the upgrade.
New Job, New Time

After I graduated, I was doing interviews all over the place. I was talking to many head hunters here in Arizona, a couple in Texas, and a couple back east, in South Carolina and Kentucky, a couple in Portland, OR and a few in California. My favorite in all of these, overall, was the job in Los Angeles, CA, working for Fox Entertainment remotely. I had done a couple interviews, then a phone interview with Fox, and waited. My next favorite was a possible position in Portland, OR. But on Monday, April 21st, I got a call from the company staffing the position for Fox. I was told they liked me and they would like me to start right away, and by that, they meant in the next couple of hours. I got the job I wanted, and I was able to start right away, later that day.
